Sealand – A Maersk Company Asia is the dedicated Intra-Asia (IAS) arm for the Maersk Group delivering containerized cargo through an extensive network spanning Bangladesh to East Russia. As an independent business unit that is part of the Maersk Group we carry our own IAS cargo, significant feedering volumes for Maersk as well as other carriers with whom we have cultivated long-term partnerships. We have over 500 staff in 14 countries with headquarters situated in Singapore and operate a fleet of over 70 ships.
An opportunity is now available for an independent, energetic and self-motivated individual to join us as Sales Executive in Ho Chi Minh City.

Key responsibilities
• Work in a dynamic professional sales team who value team success.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Trade & Marketing, Product and other related functions to ensure customer needs and market intelligence are updated and communicated. Support local Product team for setting up Landside and Logistics Service (L&S) Products. Coordinate and execute commercial approach in response to customer needs and the market situation
• Manage and develop the assigned portfolio; secure business and achieve L&S objectives in Sealand (Both Supply Chain, Contract Logistics, Customs, Trucking & Import & Export Ocean freight)
• Build a good understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer integrated logistics solutions
• Identify account needs, opportunities and key buying factors for existing customers, and formalize those into account plans and develop compelling customer value propositions to increase win ratio and gain premium over competition.
• Strive for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs and suggesting solutions to help customers
• Establish strong, multi-level relationships with key customers (including decision makers and influencers) and make use of senior management to sponsor and leverage high level customer relationships.
• Ensure sales systems and reporting are precise and up to date for performance management tracking, analysis and planning
• Drive overall the L&S performance for SAS in Vietnam/Cambodia
• Coordinate the standardisation and optimisation for L&S processes

We are looking for
As a minimum for fulfilling this important position, we expect for you:
• 2 years’ work experience in logistics and shipping industry
• A good understanding of Contract logistics and Shipping Line products, solutions, pricing and terminology, in the local market
• Understands the competitive landscape, and can adjust approaches to customers as a result
• Proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning large opportunities, through both personal and collaborative selling efforts, in tendered and non-tendered environments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment and cope with large scale business challenges
• Capable in building strong and lasting relationships at multiple levels, focusing on decision makers and influencers
• Well-developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills as well as ability to handle most common customer objections and strong negotiation skills
• Resilient, tenacious and persistent
• Self Motivated and performance driven
